You can follow the tutorial below and gain some useful tips on how to succeed in B2B prospecting using LinkedIn and JetBuzz. Before I start, I’d like to give some extra insight on the cost of using both JetBuzz and Sales Navigator together. You’re able to use JetBuzz alone without Sales Navigator but Sales Navigator assists in better targeting which means more qualified leads.

Here’s How it Works:

First, you’ll need to sign up for a free trial or a subscription here. Once starting a free trial or subscription, log into JetBuzz at this link. On the main dashboard, select the option, Add LinkedIn account then enter your LinkedIn credentials into the software. Once completed, you should now have linked between LinkedIn and JetBuzz. You should now be in the home section of the JetBuzz dashboard.

We’re going to go through a couple of the tabs listed here in JetBuzz and guide you through the process that has worked well for us.

My Network

In the My Network tab, you’ll see the connections you’re currently connected with as well as details listed in their profile. Here, you can either message the person right from the dashboard or click the LinkedIn profile link to head to their physical LinkedIn page. You can also export your current LinkedIn connections and see information listed in their profile such as email, phone, address, etc. There’s even a space to take notes on the prospect down at the bottom.

Next up is the Messenger tab in the JetBuzz dashboard. Here you can send messages to your existing connections. This can either be a single message or a drip sequence of messages sending over time.

After heading to the Messenger tab:

  1. Select New Messenger Campaign
  2. Give the campaign a title
  3. Click Create Messenger Campaign

After completed those steps, you should now see your new campaign listed in the Messenger tab in the dashboard. Click the title of the new campaign. There should now be 4 more tabs listed in the dashboard. Head over to the Steps tab and here you’ll find the correct place to set up your message or drip campaign.

JetBuzz gives you the option to merge tags into the message which are:

Name {Name}
First name {FirstName}
Company name {Company}
Title {Title}

These tags are used to specify who the message is being sent to and make it more personal to the prospect. JetBuzz also gives you options on when to send the messages all the way up to 2 years.

Depending on how and when you want the messages to be sent is completely up to you. Add as many steps as you feel is necessary and click Save.

Next up, head over to the Settings tab. Here is where you can easily switch your Messenger campaign on or off. You can also delete the campaign from this tab.

Here you will find statistics of your Messenger campaign including contacts, messages, and replies. You’ll be able to track and get insights about everything going on in your Messenger campaigns.

Next up is to skip over to the Search tab of the JetBuzz dashboard. Here is where you will bring LinkedIn prospects over that you haven’t connected with yet. This will be the main place to be to obtain the leads directly from LinkedIn. Depending on how many connections you currently have will determine how many leads you’ll be able to see. Learn more about LinkedIn degrees of connections here.

jetbuzz search

After heading to the Search tab:

  1. Click Start new search.
  2. Here you can use multiple different ways of searching through LinkedIn. You can either choose Standard search, URL search, or Sales Navigator search depending on your needs and Sales Navigator subscription. If you have a Sales Navigator subscription, this is the best way to generate more qualified targets.
  3. If in Standard search, simply put in the keywords you’re looking to target such as the industry or position at the company. JetBuzz and LinkedIn use boolean operators and you can learn more about them here.
  4. For URL search or Sales Navigator search, you would simply fill out the filters in LinkedIn or Sales Navigator and copy the URL to paste in the correct box.
  5. After completed, click Add search task.

You’ll then find qualified leads pouring into your Search campaign. These are leads you’ll be using for the next step in the process. In the search, you can also export all of the prospects that have been added to a CSV for future reference.

Now you’ll head over to the Connector tab in the JetBuzz dashboard. This will look fairly similar to the Messenger tab except the process here is to target prospects from your Search campaign and that are not already connected. This is where the magic happens and is the direct link between your Search campaign and who you’ll connect with.

jetbuzz connector

After heading to the Connector tab:

  1. Create a name for your Connector campaign. You can also copy steps from recent campaigns to speed up the process if campaigns are similar.
  2. Click Create Connector campaign.
  3. You can now click the name of the new Connector campaign and you’ll see 4 new tabs available.

You now have a vast amount of options available for your new Connector campaign. The connection message is the initial invitation message a prospect will receive from you. The welcome message should be sent as a more personal message as it’ll be the first message the new prospect receives after the connection. Nobody likes to hear a sales pitch as soon as they’ve accepted a connection request.

You also have the option to merge tags to make the message more personal. You can then again choose to add additional steps and send out messages for up to 2 years if the prospect hasn’t responded to your past messages. After filling out the campaign process, click Save.

Here again you’ll have the capability to turn your new campaign on and off with the switch as well as delete your existing campaigns.

The stats you’ll see here are a bit different from the statistics included in the Messenger campaign. You’ll now find the number of connection requests, how many prospects have connected, replied to your connection message, and replied to welcome and other messages sent.

Back to Search Campaign

You’ll now have to head back over into your existing Search campaign. When finished searching, you’ll need to select who you want to add to which Connector campaign. You can have multiple Connector campaigns targeting different industries, connection types, or by any other filters provided in your Search campaigns.

If you want to add everyone in the Search campaign to one Connector campaign, simply select Add all new people to Connector Campaign. If adding to individual campaigns or batches, hit the checkbox to select all on the page or scout for the prospects you want to add to each individual Connector campaign.

jetbuzz search

After completed, if your Connector campaign is switched on, the process should start running automatically. From the Connector dashboard you’ll be able to see all of the metrics for each running Connector campaign and which are active or inactive.

Tasks Queue

Next you can head over to the Tasks Queue tab. Here you will find information regarding ongoing tasks on schedule for JetBuzz. You can see where the task is in the queue as well as tasks that have been finished.

There is also a checkbox option here called 2x. This speeds up all tasks by 2. This is not recommended by JetBuzz and can possibly affect your LinkedIn profile safety.

From JetBuzz:
“JetBuzz limits the number of actions per day to assure your profile safety. At this time connection requests and messages go out with an optimal balance of profile safety and productivity. After a number of requests, you now have an option to speed up all of activity 2x. Though we haven’t seen issues with LinkedIn profiles when set to 2x, keep in mind using 2x involves certain risk.”

Setting an Account Schedule

The last option I’d like to suggest and may be beneficial is the ability to set your account’s schedule. To do this, simply head back over to the home dashboard and select Select account schedule. You then can choose the hours you’d like your tasks to run as well as if you’d like JetBuzz to work on weekends or not. This is beneficial for B2B if you want your campaigns to seem more natural around typical business hours.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator can be an extreme asset to your B2B prospecting but adding steroids to the situation just makes it better. With JetBuzz, you’ll be able to navigate through sales leads without spending hours of your day to manually prospect. Time is money and nobody wants to waste time selling through LinkedIn by hand. Automation is the 21st century and it’s necessary to run your business.

Useful Tips

  • Create multiple Connector campaigns and utilize merge tags to target prospects more accurately.
  • Use Sales Navigator filters for better possible leads. You can find more about Sales Navigator filters here.
  • Try to keep connection messages as personal as possible. LinkedIn is a B2B tool but also a social media platform so be careful not to sound so sales-like.
  • Research best tactics for LinkedIn connection requests. You can find a blog article about doing so here.
  • Update your profile as much as possible to explain exactly what your business does and how you can help your prospect.
  • Update your tagline to mention exactly what you do for your clients or customers. (How to Write an Effective LinkedIn Headline).
  • Use as many boolean search operators necessary to get the best results from LinkedIn or Sales Navigator.
